iCampus Cottbus Conference
Our paper “Semiconductors for Quantum Computing: Value Creation and Chemical Fingerprint of Isotopically Pure Silicon-28” (DOI 10.5162/iCCC2026/4.6) received the Best Paper Award at the iCampus Cottbus Conference (iCCC) 2026.
We received this award during the pre-startup phase at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg.
2025

Berlin-Brandenburg Businessplan Competition
We took first place in the second phase of the Berlin-Brandenburg Business Plan Competition, impressing the judges with our business concept and pitch. The competition is organized by an initiative involving Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB) and the Investitionsbank des Landes Brandenburg (ILB), and is supported by universities in Berlin and Brandenburg.
We received this award during the pre-founding phase and through our work at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg.

Quantum Site
As part of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ), the Institute of Materials Chemistry at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg was designated as a “Quantum Site.” At that time, our EXIST research transfer project “HoCHQuant” was active there.
2024

Berlin Quantum Pioneer Week
At the Demo Day of Berlin Quantum Pioneer Week, we captivated the audience and won the Audience Award. Berlin Quantum Pioneer is an initiative involving Berlin’s business community, research institutions, and universities.
We received this award during the pre-founding phase and through our work at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg.

German Association for Crystal Growth
The German Association for Crystal Growth (DGKK) has honored Dr. Owen C. Ernst as an early-career scientist. He received the award for his dissertation on local growth and structure formation on crystalline substrates. He wrote his doctoral thesis at Humboldt University of Berlin and the Leibniz Institute for Crystal Growth.

Tagesspiegel
In the category “Turning Science Fiction into Reality,” Dr. Owen C. Ernst was honored by Tagesspiegel as one of the 100 most important figures in the capital’s scientific community for 2024. He received this award for his work at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg.
2023

Lausitz Start-up Award
In 2023, we won the Lausitz Start-up Award (LEX). We prevailed against strong competitors in the preliminary round and advanced directly to the final, where we once again impressed the jury with our innovation. The competition was organized by Wirtschaftsinitiative Lausitz e.V. (WiL). Other participating partners included EGC Entwicklungsgesellschaft Cottbus, Startup Lausitz, the CreativeOpenLab (COLab) at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, and the RKW Competence Center.
